1920 Illinois Pocket Watch

I am a novice looking for the value of this watch. I have an individual telling me its worth $1000, again I do not know and would like some help.

Here are some photos of the watch. There is just no way that my camera can do justice to this piece!

This is a 1920 Illinois Pocket Watch and Chain in a SOLID 14K Etched Hunter Case and a double dial face. It is working perfectly and in very good condition. The movement is serial # 3616310 which would date it to 1920.

On the movement it also says:

Double Roller, 19 Jewels, Adjusted 3 Positions, Illinois Watch Co. Springfield.

The case is decoratively etched front and back and has the serial # 4309371 on all four parts.

The case also says Warranted 14 KT 25 YRS, all placed around the "STAR" logo.

It has very lightly hand etched 4-5-5286 c c s on one piece. Another has X357tcf.

The case has no dents and is quite nice. No hairline cracks in the porcelain. Estimated value is $1,200 conservatively!

The photo of the building is the actual Illinois watch factory in the year 1920.
