E. Howard Watch Co. 1909-1912

Don't know any of the background story to the pocket watch, but my mother came across it when cleaning out her mother's house after her death.
Not sure where it would have come from, within the family.
A quick check with serial number shows that it was made somewhere between 1909-1912, but outside of that I know nothing.
I found the case and movement serial numbers, it is 17 jewel and has a patent number on the movement.
Looking around on the Internet I have not come across any that look like this one.
Most have the crown at the 12 o'clock position, not 3 o'clock. Haven't even been able to find any that have a dial like this one...at least not the number-style.
I was a little nervous, but gave it a little wind and it runs!
Anyone know anything about it?
Any idea of a value?
