Hunter pocket watch

Hunter pocket watch

Hunter pocket watch

This pocket watch was in my deceased grandfather's things. It is a gold hunter case, three panel, twenty four hour dial. No name on the face. In side on the three quarter plate, is "L. Auer Of Frankfurt a/m".

Inside the front cover there are two hallmarks. One is a crown in a circle, the other is a star inside a circle with the word mono under the star. The only number stamped on the inside watch cover is 181610, with the initials ID stamped under the number.

I have searched the internet for months and can't really find out any thing about this watch. I have never found a watch that is exactly like this one. I would really love to know this watch's story!

I would really appreciate any info. any one might have about this watch. ANY ONE??
