Newark watch works

by Rufus Patrick
(Hinesburg, VT)

This pocket watch has been in our family for many years I believe it belonged to my Great grandfather. I believe it needs to be cleaned/restored. I can't seem to find any information about Newark watch works. Maybe another collector can help? The inside cover

says "waranteed coin silver". G188 and g188 is also in the inside of the back cover. I have enclosed a photo.

THANKS Rufus Patrick

I have the same watch. Was bought in Rome Ga. in 1877 from the engraving. Is a Robert Fellows watch from Newark N.J. engraved on the gold colored watch works. Missing key to wind, would love to find one. Was told an estimate to restore would be up to $150.00 Need more info. Anyone?

This is amazing I finally found someone wondering about the same watch that I own. I would like to hear from you if you have any information about the history or value, as I am considering selling it.

Thank You
