Hi,I have two Waltham pocket watches that I am enclosing photos of.

#1 One gold watch was owned by an old man who died Oct 8 1947 (I know his name). I had this watch repaired in 1986 and it is in working condition It has hinged gold covers for the front and back of the watch and another gold hinged cover that covers the working of the watch.

A W W Co, Waltham, Mass #6316240 in stamped on the working parts of the watch. On the gold part surrounding the working parts is stamped 'pat'd Dec 7 88'. 'American Waltham Watch Co' is stamped on the face of the watch.

#2 The other Gold Waltham watch was owned by someone (I know his name) who died before 1901, the back unscrews and it comes off, stamped on the this is 'Fortune 326466 Warranted A W C Co, 20 years'. The outside of this is worn from being in someones pocket.

The inside workings has the following stamped on it '17188127 Waltham Mass 17 jewels adjusted, 5 positions', Canadian Pacific Railway, on the gold surrounding the workings of the watch is stamped 0400 or 0488. Waltham is stamped on the face of the watch.

I don't think this watch is working, it seems to be wound too tight.

Could anyone give me some idea of how old these watches are and their value?

Thank you
Shirley
