This is a pocket watch given to my wife by her father who died in 1985. He worked for the railroad, I think in the 1950's and had this watch. The serial number inside under the watch movement says 6431 and 6445. There are 2 numbers with the 6431 being on the top and the 6445 being directly underneath the 6431.
It also says Waltham Watch Co. Unadjusted and Swiss on the movement. On the inside of back cover of the case it says Waltham Watch Co, Swiss Made, Base Metal Case, B 345 Z, 6431. The dial has a picture of a train and says Waltham on top and shock resistant underneath. There is a picture of a train engraved on the back of the case. We would like to know the history of this watch so we can pass it down to our daughter. I have more pictures but I could only upload one so if you would like to see more please let me know. Thank you for your help in advance.
